Wear to corners, rubbing to cover edges and spine ends and edges, remarkably clean text with only very occasional scattered foxing. Some light chipping to spine of Vol. I-II (first book), which has a bookplate at front pastedown. Original pink place-keeping ribbons present. The Decameron is a collection of medieval allegorical short stories written in the mid-14th century and is considered central to the Western canon, influencing writers ranging from Geoffrey Chaucer to George Eliot.
