TROUBLES

London: Jonathan Cape, 1970. 1st Edition. Hardcover. One of the most entertaining tragic-comedies written, a masterful tale, from the point of view of British major Brendan Archer, about Ireland's "Time of Troubles" while he's ensconced in the Anglo-Irish upper class Majestic Hotel. Winner of the 2010 Lost Booker Prize of 1970, and re-issued years after it first appeared. Copies of the original first edition are hard-to-find, especially one as presentable as this. Dustjacket is price-clipped, gently toned and moderately worn at edges and corners. Book itself is quite nice - no names, bookplates, etc and desirable thus. Near Fine / Very Good. Item #013334

Price: $2,500.00
