Le Corbusier's account of the search for a site for the UN from San Francisco and other alternative sites to the East Side of Manhattan on a site donated by the Rockefellers.  8vo, gilt-stamped cloth in dustjacket, 80 pages, illustrated with Le Corbusier's plans and sketches.  Very good copy in a dustjacket with modest wear and some dj loss spine head.  Ownership copy of Argentinian-born architect Cesar Pelli (1926-2019) who designed some of the world's tallest buildings and other major urban landmarks, including the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur and the World Financial Center in NYC.   With Pelli's ownership stamp "C.A. Pelli" in three places:  lower right corner front panel of the dustjacket; lower left corner rear panel of dustjacket; and, lower right corner of the ffe, plus his signature in blue ink upper right corner of the title page.  Partial bookstore ticket upper corner front pastedown of Argentinian locale, indicating this is a book acquired by Pelli as a young university student before emigrating to the US in 1952 to continue his architectural study.  .
